Thanks to @LysaTerKeurst for the inspiration today.

It is tempting to take short-cuts by

a) being late to a meeting (be un-Reliable)

b) NOT sharing everything you know (not be open)

c) completing an assignment 50% instead of 100% (kinda competent)

d) making sure you take care of first (not very compassionate) and then share whatever is left with others

If we do this, others might not trust us with the big things.

Instead, think of how you can prove you are trustworthy in the small things:

a) respond quickly to an email or text

b) provide more than enough information for a colleague to make a decision

c) give 110% in finishing a project

d) give an extra $5 from your own tip to each of your employees

It doesn’t take much to show others that you are trustworthy, but it also doesn’t take much to show them that you are not.
