A recent study found that more than half of employees trust a robot more than their own manager, even asking AI for advice. Is this what we want for ourselves or for our employees–to go to AI for career coaching and advice?

One simple way to connect with employees is for leaders to begin to coach their employees on their strengths. We say this a lot, but only because we have seen how powerful strengths coaching can be in helping employees at all levels grow in confidence, embrace their unique skill set, and become more trusted leaders.

While there may be many ways that AI can help organizations become more efficient and effective in the future, let’s make sure that they are not replacing leaders as a source of trustworthy coaching and career advice.
