Lead with your #Strengths

Now that the semester is over, we can get back to talking about leadership and using our strengths to become the authentic leader we are meant to be.

One question we were asked at the ABA Stonier School leadership class last week was: “If I don’t have the Influencing strengths, can I still become a CEO?” The answer: Absolutely. There is no one way to become a CEO.

We perceive that those influencing strengths are the CEOs because we might see them more in organizations, but you have also probably seen relators become CEOs as well. One CEO I admired was a relator and was able to influence people to give both time and money to a great cause because of the strong relationships he was able to build, one at a time.

The best way to develop as a leader is to use your strengths to build trust with others.
